For many visitors to Lapland, a ride in a reindeer-pulled sleigh is one of the most memorable ways to experience the beautiful snow-capped forests around Rovaniemi. And what better way to take a snowy route than guided by Santa's helpers?
To begin your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in the Lappish capital between 7 and 9 pm, before being taken to a reindeer farm, far away from the bright lights and noise of the city and located at the edge of a large lake. There, you can play with these adorable Arctic animals as their handlers tell you all about how they live and show you around.
After going over the safety rules, you'll then clamber aboard a sleigh pulled by reindeer and head out on a delightful journey. Ride through the expanse of snow-covered land, a wintery paradise where it seems like Christmas never ends. As well as enjoying the iconic Finnish scenery, keep a look out in the skies above you for the incredible natural light show known as the Aurora Borealis.
After marvelling in wonder at the magical illuminations twinkling amongst the stars, you'll stop to enjoy a snack typical of Finland and a hot drink to warm you up. And of course, you'll receive a Reindeer Driving License to manage the reindeer team. Although symbolic, it'll be a great souvenir. Finally, you'll be taken back to Rovaniemi and dropped off at your hotel.

Please bear in mind that since it's a natural phenomenon, we cannot always guarantee that the Aurora Borealis will be visible on this tour.
Pickup
The tour usually starts between 6 pm and 8 pm, but after booking, we'll contact you to specify the exact time. Pickup is from hotels located within a 15 km radius of the center of Rovaniemi. After you've made your reservation, we'll contact you to arrange the exact time. If your accommodation is in the center of Rovaniemi, you'll have to go directly to the office located at Maakuntakatu 29.
