We'll meet at Quivira Road to get started on this whale-watching experience from San Diego.
California hosts one of nature's best spectacles between December and April: the grey whale migration. These awe-inspiring mammals, measuring up to 14 meters (45 feet) in length and weighing a colossal 40 tons, take an incredible journey from Alaska to the lagoons of Baja California in Mexico for mating and birthing. We'll endeavor to witness these magnificent creatures up close during our boat excursion!
If you choose to do this excursion between May and November, you'll be in for a treat as the thriving marine ecosystem in San Diego attracts blue whales. These waters, full of nutrients, allow you to see the world's largest whales from just a few meters away.
We'll also try to see other species such as fin whales, which rank as the second largest among baleen whales. These majestic beings frequent the deep waters near the coast during the summer and fall. Regardless of the time of year, San Diego never fails to offer captivating marine wonders, as these colossal giants can appear at any moment!
As if the thrill of witnessing whales weren't already extraordinary, our journey will include some dolphin sightings of short-nosed, long-nosed, Pacific bottle-nosed, and grey dolphins. Did you know they swim about all year round? Of course, our aquatic adventure wouldn't be complete without seeing California sea lions, sharks, and a diverse array of seabirds!

When making your reservation you may choose from the following options:
- Daytime whale watching (3 hours): 9 am or 12:30 pm
- Evening whale watching (2-2.5 hours): with this option, launch time will depend on the month of the tour. We'll confirm the time after you've made your reservation. On this excursion, we'll search for whales while also enjoying a beautiful sunset over the horizon. The cruise will end with a spectacular view of the sunset over San Diego.
