Our journey begins with a visit to the Porto Cathedral, where we'll uncover the legend of Senhor d'Além. As we stroll through the colorful houses surrounding Pena Ventosa Square, we'll delve into the city's cuisine, including the renowned bacalhau Gomes de Sá.
Continuing our exploration of Porto's Ribeira, we'll pass by Largo de São Domingos, taking in the sights of Palácio das Artes, the Fernandino Gothic Wall, and the scenic Escada do Caminho Novo staircase in the Miragaia neighborhood. Don't forget your camera! Along the way, we'll share interesting tidbits about Porto's traditional boats and tripeiros.
Our next stop is the impressive São Francisco Church, a stunning example of baroque architecture. We'll also pass by Palácio da Bolsa and Casa do Infante, a historical house-turned-museum also known as Alfândega Velha.
Continuing at Praça da Ribeira, we'll finish our free tour of the Ribeira de Porto next to the Ponte Dom Luís, a true icon of the city.
