At the indicated time, we'll meet at 5 Broad Street in Oxford and head to one of the most beautiful palaces in England, Blenheim Palace!
Located just 20 minutes from the university city, Blenheim Palace was built in the early 18th century by the Duke of Marlborough and was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Did you know that it's the only "non-royal" palace in the UK? Upon arrival, we'll admire all the baroque architectural elements and begin to delve into its history.
Throughout the tour, we'll explore the entire Blenheim Palace and its gardens. Inside, we'll discover the room in which the Prime Minister was born and admire the furniture of the time and the exquisite decoration of its halls and rooms. You'll feel like a real nobleman walking through its rooms!
In the gardens, we'll discover the particular vision of the important English landscape designer Lancelot Brown. We'll explore the formal gardens, where we'll find the Italian Garden, the Rose Garden, and the Churchill Memorial Garden. Then, to complete the guided tour, we'll visit the parks or the lakes.
Finally, after 3 hours of touring Blenheim Palace, we'll return to the starting point and end the tour.
