Marseille Calanques Hiking Tour
Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time along Avenue de Luminy, and from there, we'll travel by city bus to the coves of Marseille. After a brief introduction, we'll embark on a hiking route in the direction of Calanques National Park. The coves of this natural area, one of the most beautiful on the coast of Provence, are sure to win you over from the moment we arrive.
First, we'll stop at the Belvédère de Sugiton viewpoint to enjoy magnificent scenic views of the Mediterranean. The ocher and gray cliffs of the creek merge perfectly with the blue of the sea, creating a most picturesque landscape.
We'll continue the hiking route by heading towards another beautiful cove in the area. This is the calanque of Saint-Jean de Dieu, also called De L`Oeil De Verre (meaning 'glass eye') due to the shapes of its cliffs.
Then, we'll take a break on the shores of the Mediterranean to enjoy the scenery more calmly, taking advantage of the pause for a picnic that includes bread, cheese, charcuterie, dips, and fruit
Afterward, we'll say our goodbyes back at the meeting point, where we'll arrive 5 hours after departure.
Changes in Itinerary
Depending on the season and meteorological conditions, we'll visit the calanques of Saint Jean de Dieu, Sugiton, Morgiou, or Sormiou.
