At the indicated time, we'll meet at Vico de Argenteris to begin a food tour during which we'll be able to see, smell and taste the most typical delicacies of Lecce. A total sensorial experience!
We'll start by going through the most outstanding monuments of Lecce, such as Porta Napoli, the Basilica of Santa Croce, the theater, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Piazza del Duomo. Once we reach the heart of the city, we'll begin discovering the gastronomic tradition of southeastern Italy, through visits to different places in the area.
At a traditional bakery, we'll learn about the preparation process of Salentine delicacies like puccia and frisa, after which we'll visit a bodega where we'll taste some wines characteristic of the Apulia region.
Then, we'll go to an artisan pastry shop, where we'll have the opportunity to taste pasticcioto, a typical cream-filled pastry.
To finish, we'll head to a local coffee shop, where we'll conclude the tour with an Italian espresso.
