Kauai Plane Ride
Description
Departing from Ahukini Road, we'll head towards our take-off site and start our plane ride over Kauai to the beautiful island from above.
The first thing we'll see once we've taken off is the Na Pali Cliffs, which reach an impressive 1200 meters (3937 feet) above sea level. Did you know these cliffs were also the setting for many Hollywood blockbusters? We'll continue to pass over the Waimea Canyon, affectionately known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.
Taking full advantage of this unique vantage point, we'll fly over the Wai'ale'ale crater, one of the wettest places on Earth, and see in full view the far-reaching landscape of its lush vegetation. We'll also see the Alakai Swamp from these heights, the highest water dam in North America. Our next stop will be the Hanalei Bay, a prime surfing spot in Kauai.
Our route will continue as we fly over the Hanalei Valley and catch glimpses of its numerous waterfalls, a unique natural wonder. We'll arrive at Kee Beach to appreciate this coastal beauty and the iconic Lumahai Beach, the filming location of the Hollywood film, South Pacific.
Before concluding our captivating aerial tour, we'll give you a unique perspective as we glide past Queens Bath and the iconic Kilauea Lighthouse.
An hour after take-off we'll bring our flight to an end, arriving back at our meeting point in Kauai.
