At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Hakaniemi market to start a pleasant tour of the famous Kallio neighbourhood. Are you ready? Let's go!
Did you know that it was once a working-class neighbourhood? Today, it's one of the most creative and alternative areas of Helsinki. As we walk towards its park, we'll tell you some other fun facts.
During the tour, we'll see the exterior of Kallio Church, a Lutheran temple from the beginning of the 20th century that stands out for its large granite tower. Do you want to know what role this building played in the Finnish Civil War? We'll tell you all about it!
As we walk through the streets of Kallio, we'll also pass Bear Park, one of the most beautiful parks in the area, as well as some cafes, exotic shops and vintage clothes markets that flourish on every corner.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at the starting point after 2 hours together.
