Private Tour of South Martinique

When making your reservation, you'll have the choice of two itineraries for your private tour of southern Martinique. Both routes include pick up and drop off at your hotel in Fort-de-France and an exclusive English-speaking guide just for you and your group.

5 Hour Tour

We'll start our tour of southern Martinique by visiting the famous chocolate and coffee shops of Fort-de-France. We'll then travel south to the district of Les Trois Îlets, where we'll visit a small village known for its traditional pottery.

Continuing our route around the south of Martinique, we'll tour a rum distillery. Then, after stopping to take in the stunning landscapes from a viewpoint in Le Marin, you'll have two hours of free time to enjoy the paradise beach at Les Salines. White sand, palm trees and turquoise waters await!

The last stop of the tour will be at a banana plantation, where we'll learn all about rural life on the island before returning to your hotel.

Timetable: daily departures at 9 am.

8 Hour Tour

If you book the 8 hour private tour of south Martinique, the first stop will be at La Savane des Esclaves, an open-air museum which replicates a traditional village where the island's native people lived before the arrival of the Europeans. Here, we'll learn about the history of slavery in Martinique. We'll also visit the Cap 110 Memorial, which honours the 100th anniversary of the abolition of slavery on the island.

The rest of the private tour will be dedicated to visiting different viewpoints and other places of interest on the island. You'll get to tour a rum distillery and the Church of Saint-Henri in Les Anses d'Arlet, the origins of which date back to the 17th century!

We'll also see the volcanic islet known as Diamond Rock, delve into the history of the Maison du Bagnard, visit a wine cellar, and take a dip in the hot springs at Dlo Ferré. Before the end of the tour, we'll stop at a local restaurant so that you can get some lunch and try the local delicacies.

Timetable: daily departures at 8:45 am.
