Juan was a wonderful guide. He has a wealth of knowledge on Roman history, and he is an expert on the artifacts found at Merida. Juan made an extra effort to get to know us. He reached out to me before our tour so that we could discuss our plan for the day. On the day of our tour, he contacted us just before our arrival to make sure we knew where to park. I highly recommend Juan.
Our guide Ricardo really had an excellent knowledge of the park, its wildlife and above all its birdlife. He could spot a short-toed snake eagle on a tiny perch from miles way. For our use, he arrived equipped with binoculars and serious birdwatching kit, which we appreciated. as complete novices. Ricardo was also generous with his time, meaning we got to cover a lot of ground. Thank you for an enjoyable, memorable afternoon in Monfrague.
I was the only person on the tour with guide Fernando, he was knowledgeable about bird life, where to find them and easily spotted same. He also provided info re geography, history, culture, politics and religion. Extremely informative and interesting tour
