While in the Scottish capital, take a page from Jamie Fraser's book and embark on our Outlander tour through Edinburgh to see iconic sites from the hit series!

What to Expect

Meet us at 351 High Street, just a few steps away from St. Giles Cathedral, where we'll kick off our tour through the Scottish capital and enter the world of Outlander.

We'll start things off by walking to the famous Royal Mile as we discuss the storied past of Scotland from the 18th century. Claire Randall was dropped in the middle of this period, thanks to the Craig Na Dun stone circle.

A standout site we'll visit along our route is Bakehouse Close. This little alleyway is where we'll find the printing press company that Jamie Fraser worked at. It's also where our two main characters meet again in the series 20 years later. Here is definitely the spot to take a picture next to the iconic staircase!

Next up, we'll head to Canongate Tolbooth, a former courthouse and prison that served as the set for many scenes of Outlander when it was filmed in Edinburgh. Here too, we'll find Tweeddale Court, the setting where Claire encounters Fergus again in season 3.

Along our tour route, we'll also discuss in detail traditional Scottish traditions, such as Gaelic, the language Jamie speaks throughout the series. If you're a fan of the show, then you already know a few words, Sassenach!

Then, after nearly 2 hours of exploration, feeling immersed in Scotland from the 18th century, we'll bring our Outlander tour to an end near Holyrood Palace along the Royal Mile.
