Serra da Lousa and Aldeias do Xisto Trip (4 hours)
After picking you up from your hotel in Coimbra, we'll head to Serra de Lousã by bus. We'll start at the small village of Cerdeira, which has an idyllic chapel, wooden bridge, and pretty houses built on the hillside with slate stone.
Then we'll visit some of the villages of Xisto, like Candal. We'll stroll the picturesque streets and enjoy the best panoramic views of Serra de Lousã. We'll also stop at the Trevim swing, where we'll leave you some free time to use the swing and take plenty of pictures, and then we'll head down to the village of Talasnal. There, we'll lose ourselves among slate houses, oaks, cork trees, and tiny cobblestone streets and paths.
Finally, we'll return to the hotels in Coimbra after a day exploring a beautiful wilderness in rural Portugal.
Full-Day Wilderness Trip (8 hours)
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Coimbra and head straight to the Sicó and Lousã mountains. There, we'll learn about life in the countryside and the region's traditional customs.
We'll then climb up to the top of the mountains to enjoy spectacular views and marvel at natural caves made of limestone, the material used to build the beautiful villages we'll see in the surrounding areas.
In the afternoon, we'll take a break for a picnic lunch, which will include local products picked up along the way. The perfect pause to take in more of the spectacular landscapes!
At the end of the tour, we will return to your hotel in Coimbra, arriving around 5 pm.
