We'll meet in central Catania and there, we'll climb aboard an all-terrain vehicle and start on our way to Mount Etna, leaving the city behind. Ready to explore one of the most famous volcanoes in the world?
As we ascend the slopes of Mount Etna, your guide will explain all about the great historical and biological importance of this natural park declared a World Heritage Site. In fact, this volcano is even mentioned in classical texts more than 2700 years old!
During this jeep tour of Etna, we'll combine car rides with short hikes that will allow you to get the full scope of the surrounding landscape. You'll get a chance to check out the local flora and fauna and learn about the richness of Etna's land for agriculture.
We'll take you through ancient forests, show you caves formed from solidified lava, and walk close to inactive volcano craters. We'll also take you to Bove Valley, where you'll marvel at extraordinary postcard-worthy views.
The excursion will take 6 to 7 hours, ending with our arrival back at the starting point in Catania.
