3 Countries in One Day: Day Trip to Andorra + France
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at theFrance Station in Barcelona and set off on our excursion to Andorra. We'll visit its capital and one of the most famous ski resorts in the Pyrenees.
We'll drive north until we cross the border from Spain to Andorra. Along the way, we'll see the beautiful mountain landscapes in the Pyrenees—it's impressive to see how the scenery changes as we travel north.
Our first stop will be Mont-Louis, a charming fortified village in the French Pyrenees, known as the highest village in France and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you'll have free time to stroll through its cobblestone streets, explore its ancient ramparts and immerse yourself in its fascinating history.
Next, we'll arrive at the Circo de Pessons viewpoint in Andorra. From this point, you can admire the spectacular views of the glacial lakes and the Pyrenean mountains, and don't forget your camera to capture breathtaking photos!
Then, we'll arrive in Andorra la Vella & take a 1-hour guided tour of the capital of this small country. The Casa de la Vall, Dali's clock, and the church of San Esteve, dating back to the 12th century, will be some of the highlights.
To complete the tour of Andorra la Vella, we'll walk along Meritxell Avenue, one of the city's main streets, where you'll have free time to go shopping and grab some food at one of the restaurants.
Finally, we'll start our way back to Barcelona and the trip will come to an end back at the starting point after a total of 12 hours.
