    Absolutely brilliant, the ship itself was extremely comfortable and beautiful, and the service was fantastic too. The programme was very well organised and our guide Eslam was fantastic too, knowledgeable and useful. Incredible value

    I had low expectations for this trip due to more negative reviews online, but our guide Islam went above and beyond. Everything went well from the pick up at the airport to our guide to the cruise facilities. I was very happy for this trip. I booked woth civitatis but when I arrived our name was under exotic tours.

    We had a very nice cruise with you, and also had good trips with our guide Ahmed Shimy, he is a god guide, really calm and trustworthy guide with a lot of knowledge, very helpful and he fixed everything we wanted.

History

The Philae Temple, built in the 7th or 6th century BC in dedication to the goddess Isis, stood as one of the final temples of ancient Egyptian religion, closing in the 530s AD as Christianity became the predominant religion.

Did you know...

For centuries, the Philae Temple stood on the island of Philae. As the island was to be submerged by the construction of the Aswan Low Dam, the temple was moved to Agilkia Island in the 1960s.
